Job Description:
A property and casualty client is seeking an Associate Actuary of Programs. This professional will work with general liability programs. The position can be performed in Pennsylvania or New York.
Responsibilities:
Complete pricing analysis to support rate filings, rate level adequacy, profitability and other actuarial evaluations.
Lead research, data gathering and analysis.
Develop team members.
Assist the reserving unit.
Handle impromptu projects, as needed.
Collaborate with business partners in underwriting, sales, product development and program management.
Communicate results, insights and initial recommendations.
Suggest and implement methodology enhancements and process efficiencies.
Maintain documentation that allows another analyst to understand and recreate the work product.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or other field with a rigorous mathematics background
5+ years of actuarial property and casualty work experience
Commercial filing work experience (preferred)
Results-oriented mindset
Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when necessary
Excel skills and familiarity with SQL and VBA
