Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer
Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of cloud security best practices, strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures, considering best practices for infrastructure as code and automation.
Identity and Access Management: Implement and manage robust identity and access management controls, ensuring the principle of least privilege and secure authentication mechanisms.
Security Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with security policies, standards, and industry best practices within the cloud environment.
Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures, actively participating in the identification, containment, and resolution of security incidents.
Security Automation: Implement automation scripts and tools for continuous security monitoring, threat detection, and response.
Network Security: Configure and manage network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Data Encryption: Implement and manage encryption mechanisms for data at rest and in transit within the cloud environment.
Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, identify security vulnerabilities, and work collaboratively to remediate them.
Security Monitoring: Establish and maintain security monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to security events in real-time.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures. Generate regular security reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
Experience with security automation and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security automation.
Knowledge of identity and access management principles and technologies.
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, GDPR).
Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills: Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Certified Cloud Security Professional).
Experience with container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
Familiarity with application security and secure coding practices.
Understanding of threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
