As a CoStar Group
DevOps Engineer,
you will be working on highly visible applications used by millions of consumers across CoStar Groups subsidiaries. Our product group in Austin, TX is currently seeking a DevOps engineer to join our product team supporting continual growth and development of our industry leading Apartments.com, ApartmentFinder.com, ForRent.com and ApartmentHomeLiving.com web sites. Work together with a startup-minded product team delivering innovative web and business applications. Applications are backed by SQL Server and a rich ecosystem of ETL processes, data caching, and application architecture.
This position is located in Austin, Texas and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
Responsibilities
Expand your own skillset, and that of your team with a proactive and team-centered attitude.
Automate and leverage DevOps principles, always striving for operational excellence with infrastructure-as-code mentality.
Utilize cutting-edge technology to improve our services and processes.
Manage enterprise level web applications.
Collaborate with development and operations team to design and build scalable and secure infrastructure.
Ensure the health and uptime of critical systems and applications with pro-active monitoring and metrics analysis.
Strong troubleshooting skills (application, network, systems, infrastructure) with ability to multi-task and context switch.
Good communication skills, expresses oneself clearly both verbally and in writing.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.
3+ years of experience with hybrid cloud and on-premise environments (AWS, VMware, Azure)
Knowledgeable in at least one programming language (Ruby, C#, Nodejs, Golang, Python, Rust)
3+ years of experience with managing Highly-Available environments (Active-Active), CDN (Akamai, Cloudflare), Load Balancing Technologies (ALB, NLB, F5)
3+ years of experience with monitoring tools in areas of APM, synthetics and RUM (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, AppDynamics)
Experience using build and deployment tools such as Ansible, Helm, YAML, Terraform, ArgoCD and Chef
Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.
A track record of commitment to prior employers
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
Experience with automation Skills (Config Management, Scripting, IAC, Security)
Experience managing containerized environments (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Fargate) and related infrastructure
Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using latest DevOps tools and innovative methods.
Familiar with load balancing technologies such as F5 LTMs, including management of VIPs, pools, nodes, iRule authoring, SSL offloading.
SQL or No SQL databases
Server-less architecture methodologies
Familiarity with PCI compliance and remediation
Agile methodologies and working on short sprint cycles
