Service Manager (Immediate Need):

The Service Manager position is a front-line leadership role responsible for training, coaching, and developing our Field Operations Staff. The position oversees all sales and service processes, communication between office and field staff, efforts to meet field KPIs and compliance with field policies and procedures.

The Role:

Teach Barker & Son's service model process to incoming technicians

Conduct weekly ride-a-long training

Actively monitor proper execution of the sewer sales process by all camera technicians

Recruit, hire, train and improve the field technicians

Partner with Dispatch to ensure opportunity process aligns with field performance

Actively engage in daily meetings to review numbers and communicate daily action plan

Facilitate the onboarding process for new technicians

Review critical data with the Operations Manager and conducts targeted coaching and feedback

Drive team performance to achieve all business goals and objectives

Work directly with Operations Manager to develop weekly meeting schedule with content in place for 90 days

Meet regularly to review key performance indicators, performance management and individual employee development plans

Identify performance gaps for apprentices and technicians and develops training programs to address those needs

Establish adequate staffing and retention models to meet customer needs

Serve as a liaison between customers, technicians, and staff; ensuring service issues are being handled appropriately

Train, develop and hold your team accountable to exceptional performance standards

Inspire technicians to their goals

Follow through on pending sales, invoicing, and financing

Develop technician and apprentice work schedule and process PTO requests

Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years' service manager experience required in home services, auto or related field required. Experience managing residential service plumbers strongly preferred

Ability to inspire both personal and professional growth in our team members

Ability to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction

Ability to drive team performance to achieve all business goals and objectives

Detail-oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment

Strong leadership and coaching abilities with proven success developing high functioning teams required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Technical knowledge of plumbing systems strongly preferred

Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards

Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and service management software

Ability to analyze financial and operational data to make informed decisions

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Additional technical or trade school education strongly preferred.

Neat, Clean-cut Appearance

Ability to successfully pass criminal background check and drug test

Valid (CA) driver's license with a clean driving record
