About the Role We are looking for a Field Application Scientist within our Genedata Screener business unit. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support, shape, and promote a successful, cutting-edge software system widely applied in biopharmaceutical research. You will experience a high level of interactivity and responsibility in a growing global company.
As a Field Application Scientist, you will provide expert scientific and technical support for our customers. You will investigate customer workflows and IT infrastructures to understand their needs, design solutions, and manage projects to deliver these solutions. You will also support our sales team with product expertise, scientific presentations, and software demonstrations.
This opportunity is perfect for those looking to transition away from the bench and/or hands-on research into a technical support role aiding drug discovery efforts using enterprise software.
Our full-time position in ourLexington, MA location offers an exciting opportunity to support, shape, and promote a cutting-edge platform for automating biopharmaceutical research. You will have a high level of responsibility in a growing global company. Up to 20% travel is required within North America and occasional travel to Europe.
We are offering a base salary of between $80,000 to $100,000 for this position.
Your Responsibilities Provide software demonstrations, training, and technical support
Identify customer needs and map them to the capabilities of Genedata Screener
Deliver scientific consulting and professional services for customer projects
Act as interface between our internal teams and customer’s cross-functional partners including scientific and IT partners
Propose, plan, execute, and manage internal and external projects, such as scientific consulting, software implementation, and data analysis projects
Prepare and give scientific and technical presentations
Skills & Experience Advanced degree in sciences relevant to Biotech & Biopharma
Experience with assay data analysis, preferably in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment
Experience with a scripting language (preferably Python) and familiarity with UNIX systems is advantageous
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects
A motivated and ambitious self-starter who can work effectively within a team
Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
