Seeking a Controls Engineer experienced with Rockwell Automation products (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, ThinManager), Virtual Machines, OT Network familiarity. The Controls Engineer will have broad competency in process automation of chemical plants using PLC and SCADA systems.
Responsibilities of the Controls Engineer includes:
Capable of developing, implementing and supporting plant control system hardware, software and field instrumentation
Troubleshooting control system hardware and software and implement corrective actions.
Participate in Design Reviews and PHA (process hazards analysis)
PLC, DCS and SCADA control system configuration and programming
Assisting with design documentation upkeep (i.e. PFD's, P&ID's, equipment and instrument specification sheet, process package, MOC, interloc matrix, functional design specification) for both new and existing facilities.
Capable of assisting with loop tests and interlock tests performed for new processes and yearly ISO testing for calibration and interlock checks
Skills/Education
Bachelors degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience including programming PLC/DCS for chemical plant design and operation as well as process data collection and distribution for wider corporate use.
Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix hardware and software
Experience with FactoryTalk View ME/SE
Preferred expertise:
Experience with Siemens automation systems hardware and software
Experience with Siemens PCS-7
Experience in a rapid-growth environment
Chemical plant operation experience strongly preferred
