Job Summary:
Scope of Responsibilities:
This is a Senior Director of Test Engineering position in the Secure Connected Edge (SCE) business line reporting to the VP of SCE Engineering Operations – Auto & IIoT. It is a technical leadership role responsible for leading our test engineering organization to plan and execute our NPI’s across a broad portfolio of Microcontrollers and Applications Processors that support the Auto Edge and IIoT product lines. The scope of responsibility starts from the product concept phase through production and includes both setting the test strategy and tactical execution. The work will require interlock and collaboration with other engineering and business teams across the globe including HW R&D, SW, Systems, product management, and program management. This role requires strong leadership skills along with technical depth and breadth.
Responsibilities:
Drive the ATE and high level test strategies across the organization to support the product roadmap.
Lead the design and development of test solutions from product concept phase to product launch.
Build and cultivate strong relationships with partner engineering organizations and external suppliers.
Drive test innovation and strategic initiatives based on lessons learned and best known methods
Collaborate with peers to drive continuous improvement and fanout across the organization.
Develop the existing engineering team and recruit top talent aligned to the needs of the team.
Mentor, motivate, and coach global test engineering teams to work collaboratively and effectively.
Lead industry benchmark studies to ensure NXP SCE test roadmap is best in class.
Drive and adopt industry best test tools to make test development more efficient or robust.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or relevant disciplines.
Extensive experience in Test Engineering and launching new products/technologies.
Experience in leading & managing teams with a proven track record in leading NPI & NTI projects.
Strong knowledge of DFx and test methodologies that span a variety of IP areas and products.
Demonstrated high level of leadership, management, team mentoring/development and decision making skills.
