Job Description Job Description Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· AP/AR Specialist

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Performs general cost accounting.

· Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

· Maintains the general ledger.

· Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and assists with closing the monthly books.

· Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.

· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

· Maintains Fixed Asset List and enters new assets into the fixed asset system.

· Prepares weekly and monthly KPI’s.

· Updates and maintains other metrics and reports.

· Helps with budgeting and forecasting.

· Helps with Monthly and Quarterly board meetings.

· Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

· Approves and posts batches created by AP/AR Specialist.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

· Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

· Excellent Excel skills required, with proficient experience in Microsoft Office, and accounting software.

· Ability to adapt to change.

· Private Equity experience required.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required.

· At least three years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
