The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program scales compliance and safety excellence design, construction, commissioning, deployment, and operations of data centers.

As a member of the Data Center EHS team (DCEHS), you will be responsible for supporting EHS programs including management system implementation, environmental compliance programs, and global oversight. You will play a part in ensuring all EHS issues are identified and addressed by working collaboratively with a cross-functional team of Google Data Center departments and contractors. You will also provide program leadership and oversight to new and critical EHS initiatives to continue to create and iterate our EHS program.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Be responsible for ownership and maintenance of environmental permits/programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Identify and evaluate operational EHS risks, assessing the impact to the business. Analyze risk scenarios to determine their potential impact to the business and design/lead programs to mitigate those risks.

Conduct assessments of existing EHS programs to ensure alignment with our regional strategy, including analyzing EHS business risks and identifying, describing, and estimating efficiencies to be gained through established programs.

Assess EHS training needs based on identified operational risks and ensure that workforce training activities are provided to meet business and legislative requirements.Manage the regional portfolio of EHS initiatives and programs for all local operations and regional initiatives.
