Centurion of Florida is proud to be the provider of mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections. We are seeking a
full-time Psychiatrist to join our team at Reception and Medical Center located in Lake Butler, Florida 25 miles north of Gainesville.
Practice in a large male correctional hospital providing inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. Care for patients with complex comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions.
This site qualifies for NHSC Loan Repayment and has a qualifying score of 6!
The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients, works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program requiredCurrent license to practice medicine in Florida requiredBoard Certification for certification in Psychiatry requiredMust have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificateMust maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certificationMust be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicableMinimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting preferredMinimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an clinical settingExperience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferredAvailable Shift
Monday-FridayDay ShiftAll full-time Psychiatrists participate in rotational on-call approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.
