We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Tax Manager and Tax Senior Manager to join our fast-paced and dynamic Finance team. This role requires an individual with a strong background in Real Estate Tax, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a CPA firm. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of tax advisory, LIHTC, HUD, affordable housing, and REIT. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to bring their expertise to a growing team and make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage a diverse range of tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for our clients in the real estate industry.
Lead the preparation and review of complex tax returns, including Federal and State returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
Provide expert guidance on LIHTC, HUD, affordable housing, and REIT, ensuring the organization's compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business and provide innovative tax solutions.
Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and advise clients or management on the tax implications of business decisions.
Mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a CPA firm with a focus on Real Estate Tax.
Deep knowledge of tax advisory, LIHTC, HUD, affordable housing, and REIT.
Proven experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret and apply tax legislation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and training junior team members.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
