Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Kafka Administrator with experience in managing Kafka clusters and extensive knowledge of shell scripting. The ideal candidate will also have proficiency in Python scripting. As a Kafka Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Kafka infrastructure to ensure its reliability, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor Kafka clusters, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Design and implement Kafka topics, partitions, replication, and access control policies.
Optimize Kafka performance and ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka with other systems and applications.
Develop automation scripts using shell scripting and Python to streamline administrative tasks.
Provide technical support and guidance to development teams on Kafka best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Kafka and real-time data processing.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience working as a Kafka Administrator in a production environment.
Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and monitoring.
Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, including brokers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
Experience with Kafka security configurations, including SSL encryption and authentication.
Knowledge of Python programming for scripting and automation (preferred).
