OVERVIEW
Alo Yoga is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to support its growing in-house legal department. This lawyer will play a key role in providing strategic legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters, including equity financing, acquisitions, corporate governance and corporate formalities, compliance, commercial transactions and high-value contracts, and other corporate legal issues. The position is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and support complex corporate transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, international franchise agreements, and strategic investments, from due diligence to negotiation and closing.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, licensing agreements, wholesale agreements, strategic partnerships, and other business transactions.
Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other in-house corporate attorneys, including overseeing their work and managing legal expenses effectively.
Stay current on legal developments and industry trends related to corporate law.
Take ownership of legal compliance areas for the company, such as data privacy, employee stock appreciation rights, and corporate governance/formalities.
Join a growing team that supports all aspects of the business and work closely with other legal team members (including IP, litigation, real estate, employment, and compliance).
REQUIREMENTS
10-15+ years’ experience in big law or another in-house role
Experience with IPO and public company filings is preferred
Retail and apparel experience is an added plus
J.D. from a top tier law school
Admission to California bar
The base salary range for this position is $250,000-$325,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
