Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity in the Marketing Department for a Marketing Specialist in our Phoenix office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist will support the Phoenix office in a variety of duties. The role will work directly with the Marketing Director while working collaboratively with, and as an integral part of, the firm’s marketing and business development team. This is a hybrid position with the current expectation that this role will work from the Phoenix office four days each week.
Duties & Responsibilities
Works with all Phoenix office attorneys, and office leadership, to support business development initiatives and identity marketing and branding opportunities for the office/market
Works with Practice/Regional marketing managers to create pitch materials, proposals, and responses to RFPs
Leads all aspects of Phoenix events including concept and agenda development with attorneys, coordinating all setup details with the facilities, arranging for catering, creating mailing lists specific to the event topic, drafting invitation language, sending and tracking invitations and RSVPs, etc. Evaluates return on investment before and after each event and closely manage budget
Coordinates responses to regional marketing surveys, directories and nominations
Collaborates with practice professionals and communications team on external content/communications
Ensures Phoenix office initiatives are tracked in relevant databases (experience, events, awards, nominations etc.)
Ensures that Phoenix office content is current on website, Qorus, firm one pages and other channels
Runs point on marketing and business development projects including supervising and guiding junior staff on a project/task basis
Makes recommendations for and coordinates sponsorships, memberships and event attendance at client and community events in order to increase the visibility and influence of the firm in the Phoenix market. May include ad or program development and/or client outreach for participation or attendance at sponsored events
Tracks Phoenix attorney business development activities and work to determine ROI to assist with decision-making on future participation
Works with marketing intelligence team to gather research and analysis on targets, industries, and judges, as needed for business development purposes
Becomes the subject matter expert for Phoenix attorney capabilities, clients, and the local market. Develops subject matter knowledge of related and specialty practice areas within Phoenix office and key areas of nexus
Be knowledgeable of firm systems and conversant in technology used by marketing team and firm
Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvements and to increase efficiency
Serves as a resource to other team members, is aware and knowledgeable of department protocols and where to find information
Collaborates with marketing and other business professionals throughout the firm across functions and teams

Qualifications & Prior Experience
Bachelor’s degree is required
Minimum of four years’ experience in marketing or business development
High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience at a law firm or professional services firm is preferred
