Executive Director, IT Delivery

The Executive Director for Information Technology Delivery supports the digital transformation of Tulane University. The Executive Director leverages technology to enable, enhance, and transform business capabilities and services. This position is instrumental in the implementation of the portfolio roadmap and ongoing portfolio management activity, taking into consideration technical, financial and people resources for successful execution and delivery.
The Executive Director is on the front line leading and facilitating the delivery of application development solutions. This position provides operational leadership and strategic focus for the execution, delivery, and enhancements of application software for the entire university. The Executive Director leads a cross functional team using a mix of traditional project management disciplines and Agile / Scrum-based practices. This position directs a team toward collaboration with other IT units, and provides input to technology modernization, cross-training, resource allocation, and strategic sourcing.
The Executive Director drives the new generation technology stack and seeks to transfer industry best practices where relevant. This position works to ensure cross-functional coordination across different groups that share strategic technology goals.

•Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field
•7 to 10 years of progressive responsibility in leading software development/implementation with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities
•Demonstrable knowledge with working with Agile.
•Knowledge of tools to assist with scrum team planning (Jira, Rally/Central Agile, Version1, etc.).
•Prior experience as software analyst, developer, or tester.
•Experience in higher education
