The commercially available G4 Sequencing Platform is a powerful, highly versatile benchtop genomic sequencer designed to produce fast and accurate results. In addition, the company is currently developing the G4X Spatial Sequencer, an upgrade to the G4, which will leverage Singular's proprietary sequencing technology, applying it as an in situ readout for transcriptomics, proteomics and fluorescent H&E in tissue, with spatial context. Our Headquarters are located on the Torrey Pines Mesa, in La Jolla, California at the center of the biotech hub. Our Manufacturing facility is in Sorrento Valley. This role will be located at our Sorrento Valley location. Travel to and from HQ at Torrey Pines may be required from time to time in the normal course of business.

Position Summary: As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Logistics Specialist 2 will be responsible for all aspects of shipping and logistics to ensure timely and constant flow of materials to support operations spanning across both production and R&D. You will also play a critical part in coordinating final delivery of our world-class sequencing instrument. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D, as well as with Sales and Field Service Support.

This role is ideally suited for a candidate who is self-motivated and excited by a dynamic startup environment where opportunities to rise and diverse challenges commonly occur.

This role will be located at our Sorrento Valley location. Travel to and from HQ at Torrey Pines may be required from time to time in the normal course of business.

Responsibilities:

* Work with Customer Service and Field Service to identify customer delivery dates as well as any special requirements for product delivery at the customer site. Ensure those requirements are communicated to the appropriate parties and can be accommodated by the delivery company.

* Provide internal customer service for outbound shipments (schedule pickup, create labels, send tracking information to appropriate people/departments).

* Pulling and packing of orders for shipment as needed to support the Supply Chain team along with fulfilling orders in our ERP system in our dynamic start-up environment.

* Work with our international vendors on incoming shipments to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate to avoid customs clearance delays. Assist with gathering all required documentation necessary to release shipments from customs delays.

* Collaborate with Warehousing as well as R&D and Production to coordinate the physical movement of products between internal sites.

* Create shipment documentation; Commercial Invoices, HST Codes, Description of Goods, End Use Statements, etc.

* Work with Field Service support to assist with the reverse logistics from customer site of damaged/defective parts as well as scheduling shipment of replacement parts.

* Manage relationships with couriers and external service providers to align on schedule for incoming and outgoing shipments.

* Coordinate the shipments of vendor RMA's and reworks.

* Prepare shipping estimates as requested for sales team and finance.

* Creation of a shipment dashboard and automated shipment request process.

* Establish best-in-class processes for incoming and outgoing shipments as well as other complimentary Supply Chain functions as needed.

* Assist with a variety of duties to support Supply Chain team objectives as needed for success.

* Ensure timely and accurate billing and payment of all transportation services. Resolve discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant industry logistical experience preferably in the Biotech/Life Sciences/Medical; or an Associates Degree with 3-5 years of industry experience.

* Medical/Biotech experience with Cold Chain products.

* Experience creating international shipment documentation (Commercial Invoice, Pack-slips, HST Codes, End Use Statements, etc).

* Experience working with domestic and international service providers (FedEx/UPS/DHL/World Courier/Nippon Express, etc).

* Excels at solving challenging problems while working independently.

* Strong understanding of inventory controls and production work order processing.

* Ability to create detailed shipping reports.

* Detail oriented.

* Able to anticipate outcomes and takes initiative to build contingency plans.

* Strong command of MS Office.

* Possesses a non-commercial Class C driver license with the ability to drive a medium box truck.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $65,660 - $86,500. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Should the level of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
