The Vice President of Construction supports all Rush Street Gaming affiliated properties in all aspects of design, construction and preventive maintenance to ensure all properties maintain world-class facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities – Functional

Consults with property management regarding engineering, procurement, construction projects including scope, budgets and scheduling

Consults with property management responsible for directing, maintaining, and repairing overall facilities operations to include but not limited to interior and exterior maintenance of all buildings, exterior grounds, mechanical systems, lighting and other equipment such as utilities, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electricity, natural gas, as well as elevators, kitchen appliances and televisions

Responsible for assisting in the negotiations and terms of service agreements and contracts

Responsible for managing contractor and vendor relationships, workloads/tasks and invoicing

Supervises multiple active projects at one time

Team player acting as liaison between property management, design teams, sales teams and installation contractors to ensure proper and timely completion of projects.

Assists property management to ensure compliance and documentation of all applicable safety requirements

Assists in the oversight for entire project contract, planning and implementation

Conducts Daily/Weekly/Monthly meetings with property executives and vendors throughout design, start up, performance testing and final acceptance of projects

Analyzes property needs and operations and incorporates this into estimates for additional services/features/installation or for changes to approved project scope

Participate in the development of proposals including estimating, feasibility and solutions

Prepares material procurement, construction, and project plan documents

Works directly with property Purchasing and Facilities departments to provide assistance and ensure quality control of installations and project completions

Responsible for monitoring and updating project job cost maintenance, capital review/recommendations, and ongoing capital project spend

Tracks, compiles and organizes data related to generating costs and schedules for installations

Determines and communicates acceptable variances in procedures for specific projects

Identifies new process improvements and technical changes that address property capital projects and ongoing maintenance

Develops and utilizes process to alert key people of conditions and delays that may negatively affect deliverables and or costs for projects and on-going maintenance

Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures

Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by Rush Street Gaming entities

Trains, coaches, assesses and reviews the job performance of Rush Street Gaming entities including both non-exempt and exempt team members

Qualifications

BS Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience

Seven years or more of Construction/Project Management experience. Ideal if prior experience was completing projects within an ongoing 24/7/365 operation

Experience with a facility larger than 300,000 square feet and multiple locations is preferred

PE or PMP certification is desirable

Minimum of five (5) years of people leadership experience, includes management of a technical team within an facilities, procurement and construction departments and/or casino

Has served in a project/installation management position for large technical construction/expansion projects

Solid understanding of OSHA regulations, compliance with building and safety codes and waste disposal

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Budget development and management required

Ability to read blueprints, drawing and related materials

Demonstrated ability to think pro-actively and problem solving skills

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be a team player

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and customer focus approach

Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

Proven proficiency in Microsoft Applications such as Project, Excel, Word.

Proven proficiency utilizing ERP applications and AutoCAD

Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed deadline expectations

Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing in multi-jurisdictions

Physical and Mental Demands:

Handles detailed, complex concepts and problems, balances multiple tasks simultaneously, and makes rapid decisions regarding health and welfare issues.

Plans and meets deadlines. Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of executive management. Hours can be long and irregular, must possess the ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
