You Will:
Develop, implement, and maintain program documentation, assessments, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Assist with investigations of radiological occurrences.
Preform calculations to categorize potential radiological release to air and water.
Perform radiation shielding calculations relating to the control of radioactive material hazards, prompt radiation from accelerators, or radiological environmental releases.
Conduct analyses crafted to keep doses to the public and environment as low as reasonably achievable.
Support other Fermilab groups in the development of new scientific facilities with respect to radiological control.
Assist with policy documents in accordance with applicable regulations and in harmony with other Laboratory policies.
Prepare technical documentation of radiological control measures, radiological measurements, shielding calculations, operational running conditions, and/or environmental radiological conditions.
Participate in program assessment and quality assurance activities.
Develop and maintain recordkeeping systems related to assignment.
Provide support to other work groups lab wide as needs are identified.

We Are Looking For:
Minimum required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with a discipline in Health Physics or related field and a minimum of 1 year or more of experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
Applicable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
General physical science or engineering experience and familiarity with commonly used information technology tools along with experience in communicating with personal at all levels.
