ABOUT THE ROLE

Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time salaried Vice President of Marketing to work hybrid out of our harborside corporate office in Bremerton, WA. As the VP of Marketing, you will be at the forefront of shaping our brand and marketing strategy. Your role involves strategic thinking, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of marketing trends and technologies. You will partner with the Chief Revenue Office in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, aligning them with our overall business goals, and driving innovation across the organization.

Quick Facts

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

Employment Type: Full-time, hybrid, salaried, exempt

Salary Range: $156,286 - $220,428 depending on experience

Bonus Target: 15% potential incentive of base pay

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

Grade: 17BC

Job Functions: Marketing, Strategic Marketing, Digital Marketing

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the credit union's overall business objectives.

Collaborate with the executive team to contribute to the development of the credit union's long-term vision and growth plans.

Brand Management:

Oversee the development and maintenance of the credit union's brand identity, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational values.

Implement strategies to enhance brand recognition and reputation within the communities served.

Member Acquisition and Retention:

Lead efforts to attract and retain members through targeted marketing campaigns and promotions.

Analyze market trends, member behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Marketing:

Drive the marketing and digital marketing strategy, utilizing online channels to engage with current and prospective members.

Stay abreast of emerging marketing and digital marketing trends and technologies, implementing innovative solutions to enhance our online presence.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments, including Operations, IT, and Finance, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing strategies with broader business goals.

Foster a collaborative culture that encourages the sharing of ideas and expertise.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum impact.

Monitor and report on the ROI of marketing initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed.

BASIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.

In-depth knowledge of different digital and traditional marketing channels.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Understanding of data architecture and hands on experience with data management and marketing automation tools.

Ability to gather, integrate, and use data and behavioral analytics to develop and implement digital marketing strategies that meet or exceed expectations.

Strong experience developing and managing SEO, SEM, and CRM.

In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Understand, model, and represent KCU’s core values

Required Qualifications and Education

Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, Data Science, or equivalent, required.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing and implementing marketing strategies, required.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing teams, required.

Preferred Qualifications and Education

Previous financial industry experience, desired.

SUPERVISORY STATUS

This position supervises others and is responsible for being results oriented, collaborative, delegate effectively, and embrace the organization’s core values, ensuring team effectiveness.

Working conditions

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines

Occasionally ascends/descends stairs

Constantly positions self in work environment

The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors, and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions

Must be able to detect objects at a distance

On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects

Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions
