As a(n)Senior Event Plannerfor our US Head Officeoffice, you willcontribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
Lead, manage, plan, organize and contract PCL events, conferences,meetings and sponsorships running simultaneously with budgets up to $1.5Mfor internal and external stakeholdersConduct research, find resources and make recommendations regarding eventpossibilitiesCollaborate, listen and translate ideas into creative eventsDevelop and present written proposals, plans, agendas and budgetsNegotiate with vendors to secure contracts, maintain budgets and ensureevent needs are metOrganize facilities and manage all event details such as lodging,catering, setup, entertainment, transportation, location,invitations, RSVP tracking and AV equipmentPrepare materials, packages, gift bags, registration lists, seatingcards, etc, as neededManage all correspondence and communicate all budget, space, and vendorprogressWork with marketing, communications and executives to promote eventProactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problemsKeep and maintain accurate records and contracts related to each eventWorking with minimal direction requiredOther duties as required
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Event Management or related field, such as hospitalityProven experience successfully managing multiple simultaneous meetings &events as a planner/organizer for a minimum of 10 yearsProven experience successfully managing 100+ person events, budgets andcontractsMS Office proficiencyExceptional problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills including speaking, writing and proofreadingStrong organizational skills with ability to multi-taskExceptional time management skills and ability to prioritizeMaintain professionalism and calm demeanor under pressureStrong negotiation skills to work out contracts and pricing with vendorsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong interpersonal skills both in person and on the phone, includingexperience building and maintaining relationships with a diverse network ofindividuals and organizationsFlexible to accommodate varied hours that accompany eventsSome travel requiredPCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who findpassion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
