Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join our organization.

PPCWis the largest non-profit family planning and reproductive rights organization in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

The Vice President (VP) of Finance is responsible for the fiscal operations of PPCW and oversees fiscal systems, controls, and agency reporting, while ensuring that these systems function within the Board-approved Governance Policies. The VP of Finance is a key partner in developing, monitoring, governing, and evaluating the overall organizational strategy, planning & analysis with a focus on bottom line financial and operating performance. Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Council, the VP of Finance leads the budgeting process, participates in strategic planning, and helps guide fiscal decision making for the overall health and well-being of PPCW. The VP of Finance works closely with PPCW’s Executive Council and the Board of Directors to inform strategic decisions and safeguard the assets of the organization. The VP of Finance supervises and leads the Finance, Payroll, Accounting, and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) teams, and provides financial leadership and management of all finance and accounting functions in the agency.

Compensation: Starting rate of pay is $126,672 - $151,384 annually , depending on experience.

Position Details : This is a full-time (40 hours/week), non-represented, exempt position based out of our administrative offices in Northeast Portland, OR. Hybrid work options and schedule details will be discussed in the interview process. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Eight (8) years of progressively increasing responsibility in finance and/or accounting, including at least three (3) years’ experience in a senior role.

Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.

Demonstrated competency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Preferred Qualifications: Certified CPA

Experience working on issues affecting communities most impacted by health inequities; including but not limited to, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities, LGBTQIA2S+ communities, immigrant and refugee communities, individuals living in rural communities, and disabled communities.

Lived experience and a deep understanding of health inequities, racial injustice, reproductive justice, gender affirming care, and the impacts of the social determinants of health.

Nonprofit and/or nonprofit administration experience

Essential Functions: Maintain executive responsibility for financial operations including working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes, budget, and general accounting.

Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidations, planning and analysis.

Develop and direct financial plans to deliver the strategic business plan, company growth and market opportunities and direction. Define the financial strategy and provide useful financial insights to help make the best decisions about executing our business strategy.

Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures and ensure cash resources are available for daily operations.

Set up and/or oversee all financial controls and metrics within the organization.

Analyze current and future business operations and plans to determine financial effectiveness.

Participates actively in the Executive Council Team in overseeing the overall health and sustainability of the organization.

Work directly with individual Department leaders during the budgeting process and throughout the fiscal year to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Develop and drive strategic initiatives including analytics, predictive modeling and strategic planning focused on value-add and development.

Oversee the process of preparation and filing of federal, state, third-party and other financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC, IRS, and other taxing entity requirements.

Supervise, mentor, and support finance department team members.

Schedule and coordinate the annual financial and Single Audit (if applicable).

Ensure representation of Finance at inter-departmental teams and workgroups.

Establish and continually improve agency financial policies, procedures, and controls. Drive efforts for profitability, efficiency, and accuracy.

Manage interface with external auditors, banks, and investment manager.

Oversee the preparation and completion of PPCW’s annual budget, in cooperation with the Executive Staff and Board of Directors. Prepare re-forecasted budgets as needed.

Present budget drafts, final budget and monthly financial statements to Budget and Finance committee and Board of Directors.

Assist in creation of presentations to provide periodic fiscal updates to key teams throughout affiliate (e.g. health centers)

Establish and maintain a system of internal controls sufficient to safeguard the assets of the organization.

Other duties as requested by CEO and required for the effectiveness of the organization.
