We are on the hunt for a Senior Developer who is equally passionate about backend and frontend development. This role demands a deep understanding of building scalable, high-performance applications using a robust tech stack, including Java, SpringBoot, Redis, ElasticSearch, Postgres, and Angular (version 13+). You will be instrumental in developing the microservices that power our app while ensuring a seamless, engaging user experience through sophisticated front-end applications.

About the Career

HomeInspector is part of CoreLogic Labs, an innovation group within CoreLogic with deep roots in agile software development ( CoreLogic Announces Formation Of CoreLogic Innovation Labs In Collaboration With Pivotal ). We use Lean Product, User-Centered Design, and Extreme Programming (XP) practices to deliver value to our customers with very fast cycles.

The Lead Software Engineer will spearhead the development of our application, leveraging the Pivotal Labs methodology to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability. This role combines deep technical expertise with a passion for Agile practices, mentoring, and a commitment to excellence.

What you’ll do

Full Stack Development: Implement and maintain robust backend services using Java and SpringBoot within our microservice architecture. Simultaneously, develop dynamic, responsive front-end applications using Angular (version 13+).

Efficient Communication: Design RESTful APIs and event-based messaging for smooth interservice communication, ensuring seamless data flow between the frontend and backend.

Advanced Data Handling: Leverage Redis for effective data caching. Utilize ElasticSearch and Postgres for advanced data storage and querying capabilities.

Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment and management of services on the Google Cloud Platform, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.

Leadership and Mentorship: Collaborate across teams to drive the project to success, mentoring junior developers and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Optimization and Analysis: Regularly evaluate the application's performance, optimizing code and infrastructure to meet and exceed performance benchmarks.

Job Qualifications:

How you Qualify

5+ years of software development experience, with a strong emphasis on Java, SpringBoot, and Angular (version 13+).

Solid experience in developing with microservices architecture, including expertise in RESTful API design and event-based systems.

Proficient in Redis, ElasticSearch, and Postgres for efficient data caching and storage.

Proven ability with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.

Comprehensive understanding of agile methodologies and software development best practices.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities, systematic approach to addressing challenges.

Effective communication skills, ability to lead projects, and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Domain-specific industry experience in Real Estate, Insurance, Mortgage, Commercial or Residential Tax a plus
