Job Mission The Regional Manager oversees TMT direct employees and/or part of our distribution network. They recruit, hire, train, coach and hold accountable every member of their team. Regional Managers are product enthusiasts that manage a culture built on 70 years of success. They monitor the needs of our customers, employees, and distributors and direct them to the appropriate resource to ensure their success. This leads to extraordinary customer satisfaction and thereby constitutes a major competitive advantage for TRAK Machine Tools.
Job Overview The Regional Manager works out of their home and manages a multi-state region. They travel as needed to help implement all facets of the field organization.
Duties Specific functions include, but are not limited to:
Leading a team consisting of Sales Representatives, Applications Representatives, Business Development Representatives, Field Service Supervisors, and Service Technicians.
Holding direct employees accountable for maintaining all standards of their job.
Overseeing the success of their distributor sales and service.
Supervising orientation and training of employees.
Providing/coordinating training for distributor sales and service.
Recruiting for all positions.
Managing personnel matters.
Providing accurate feedback to the home office from the field.
Participating in trade shows and open houses.
Directing activities of the region’s showroom(s).
Qualifications History of successful capital equipment sales.
Interest in manufacturing technology.
Proactive management style.
Decisive and accepts responsibility.
Ability to learn and apply new concepts.
High level communication skills – verbal and written.
Experience in metalworking machine shops.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
