What you will be doing
The Finance Manager will assist in providing financial guidance, analytical support, key insights, trends, and business recommendations to drive growth, productivity, and improved customer experience initiatives within the eCommerce and Digital organization, which is fueling growth for Albertsons Companies over the longer term. You will play a role to gather, organize, analyze, design, report, and present information for routine and adhoc project assignments under varying amounts of guidance and direction. This role will interface with all levels of Division and Corporate staff in addressing financial questions, results, variances, process and procedures. This position will build models, presentation decks, visual and interactive insights that highlight KPIs, risks, opportunities, and results. This role will act as the finance business partner for different business unit pillars, including Shopper Experience, Data, and others.
The position will be based in Boise, ID, or one of our main regional offices.
Main responsibilities
Quickly develop an understanding of company and business objectives, as well as competitive and industry dynamics to effectively "connect the dots" and play a key role in the eCommerce and Digital organization.
Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to build support for strategic growth, new programs, tools, features, and attributes. Build financial models, scenarios and sensitivity analyses, visual and interactive insights to evaluate complex financial analyses of strategic initiatives; identify and measure sales, margin, earnings, investments, and ROI. Prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and follow through to meet deadlines.
Reporting, Planning, Forecasting - Work closely with Director of Finance, analyst team, business partners and key stakeholders to drive a data-driven, data-mining planning and analytical process for Opex and the P&L, identifying KPIs and variances from trends and planned/forecasted results. Design and prepare different forms of reporting, business reviews, actionable analyses and other key performance tracking tools that highlight results and recommendations. Articulate insights and trends, identify risks and opportunities. Source data from primary or secondary data sources, create and maintain multifaceted databases to generate reports and financial tools.
Partner with the business to deep dive into data, create analytics, adhoc reporting, and presentations that showcase the business value and rationale of rolling out growth and productivity initiatives. Proactively contribute to internal and external team discussions meant to share information and promote creative thought, problem- solving, planning and strategy; collaborate to generate insights and recommendations based on pre/post market results, tailor presentations to audiences (business units, executives) based on their needs and priorities.
Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement to impact productivity, process effectiveness, technical tool utilization, and automation. Oversee transition to new technologies introduced to the team.
Acquire solid understanding of ACI business and stakeholder awareness, proactively look for ways to add value, provide solutions, add rigor and discipline to analytics, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for understanding the business implications of analytical results.
Oversee, coach and train analysts on financial systems, projects, policies, procedures, and best practices.
Some travel may be required, up to 5%-10%
The salary range is $ 102,700 to $ 143,800 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility.

Strong data-mining skills, ability to synthesize and clearly communicate findings, provide actionable improvements, identify, prioritize, and solve problems using analytical frameworks to streamline the process. Experience with Snowflake SQL warehouse, Power BI and visual analytics, Oracle EPM/EPB, or other business intelligence tools to accomplish this is a plus.
Flexible self-starter and organized team player who takes initiative and works well in a dynamic environment (from well-defined to unstructured), able to work independently and proactively, as well as supervise and lead collaboratively with and through others to achieve desired results within deadlines.
Customer focused (internal and external), with relationship-building skills and effective communication skills (oral and written); have self and audience awareness and have the ability to interact with all levels (from staff to executives, business partners, and other leaders) for effective storytelling.
Display a commitment to excellence and an understanding of the business implications of analytical results.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data and issues in a simple, succinct manner.
Advanced PC skills in MS Office (Excel/SmartView, PowerPoint, Word for data manipulation, analysis, charting).
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related quantitative field. MBA a plus/ preferred.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in finance and financial modeling, data and business development analysis.
