Summary: Directs and manages operations of Hotel, Facilities, Environmental Services and Valet.

Essential Job Functions:
Formulates and administers assigned department strategies, policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
Ensures compliance with all Rivers Casino Philadelphia’s policies and procedures.
The VP of Operations, for regulatory purposes, serves as the Assistant General Manager.
Hires, trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental policies and programs. This includes but not limited to; the Team Member handbook (current edition and future versions) policies and procedures.
Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.
Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by a Rivers Casino & Resort entity or by a guest of Rivers Casino & Resort.
Advises and keeps the General Manager informed of all relevant operational issues affecting the property.
Responsible for the financial performance of all areas which includes top line revenue, cost of sales, labor, supplies, and the profit/loss. This includes the marketing and branding of all revenue driving departments.
Ensures performance and productivity are monitored in assigned areas of responsibility.
Ensures departmental Directors/Managers/Supervisors continually and consistently reinforce safety and accident prevention measures.
Address Team Member questions and concerns timely.
Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor an effective team member relations program through effective communication.
Fosters and maintains positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship. Cultivates a culture of internal promotions and success.
Hires, trains, coaches, assess and review the job performance of subordinates including both non-exempt and exempt team members.
Continue professional development of self and subordinates as well as assist all team members with career planning and counseling as needed.
Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates.
Applies leadership skills required to motivate staff and attain a high level of productivity and accountability. This includes participating in the company appraisal practices.
Ability to extend complimentary services in accordance with the approved comp matrix.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5 to 10 years leadership experience directing, leading and coaching others to exceed standards required
Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Ability to ensure that the grounds and physical facilities – and all equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, kitchen and roofing systems – are functioning efficiently; solid understanding of compliance with building and safety codes, hazardous waste handling and disposal, and OSHA regulations.
Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
Ability to be a TEAM player.
Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
