Job Description
As a Site Reliability Engineer, be responsible to ensure optimal performance and up-time of Products critical security engineering services and infrastructure. Analyze system performance end-to-end, from the clients (browsers) to the database, with a focus on the back-end and infrastructure elements. Also maintaining the stability of the network by improving, monitoring, alerting, log aggregations process and developing tools for it.
Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for:
Performing system programming/automation to solve complex issues
Implementing and improving monitoring, alerting and trend analysis and self-healing systems
Implementing existing code and/or write performance-dedicated applications. Graphically report in real-time, application performance as perceived by customers
Defining non-functional requirements to influence the new designs, standards and methods for scalable, highly available distributed systems
Set-up and configure DevOps API's related to Consul Mesh services, Kafka, ELK stack, healthchecks, firewall for automation, maintenance, migrations
Primary Skills:
Atleast 5+ yrs of experience as a SRE or development of customer-facing, high-availability, large scale web-based applications
Experience working with Cassandra or Elasticsearch
Good to have expereince in Python/GO or any other scripting language
Expsrience working with REST APIs
Writing autoscaling and E2E healthcheck scripts for Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Consul, Redis, HAProxy, Vault etc
Strong experience in Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working in UNIX/Linux computing environment
Demonstrate knowledge in AWS or Azure Cloud and Internet technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web architecture and design (preferred AWS)
Secondary Skills:
Kafka
Service Discovery Tool - Consul
Experience in automated DevOps pipeline creation using Terraform, Ansible
Experience with analyzing logs using tools like ELK, Splunk, Grafana
Prior experience using version control systems like GIT
