The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing engineering, expertise for process improvement, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities New product implantation:
• Assist with the launch of new rubber molded components, from preliminary review and process development stages through production handoff.
Process Optimization:
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, including the introduction of new technologies and methodologies.
Production Support:
• Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies.
Continuous Improvement:
• Lead and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives, implementing principles such as DMAIC, Lean, and 5S.
• Drive projects focused on waste reduction, increased throughput, and overall efficiency.
Tooling and Equipment:
• Collaborate with design and maintenance teams to develop and optimize tooling and equipment for manufacturing processes.
Quality Assurance:
• Work closely with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for manufactured products.
• Implement and monitor statistical process control (SPC) methods to ensure consistent product quality.
Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process control plans.
Requirements • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
