Sr. Global Product Manager, Marketing, ID/AST

The Sr. Product Manager, Marketing, ID/AST position is responsible for the ID/AST product innovation funnel. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a customer centric focused portfolio growth strategy. Additionally, this role will partner with regional sales, marketing, and clinical affairs to pull in insights to build out our future roadmap.
This position will join the global marketing team that belongs to Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter Diagnostics located in West Sacramento, CA. At Microbiology as one of the world’s leading ID/AST companies, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time. You will be an integral part of the Global Marketing team and report to the Sr. Manager, Global Product Management for Microbiology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and execute a customer centric product line roadmap for ID/AST
Develop clear market segmentation to enable strategic impact
Deliver VOC and VOS to inform product requirements and commercialization plans.
Develop strong relationships with industry experts and customers.
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to drive product development and global strategy.
Utilize DBS and work in multi-functional teams to develop new products and support existing portfolio.
Act as a consultant and product advisor to sales and regional downstream marketing.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, or Business, or a related field with 14+years of shown experience or a master’s degree with 12+ years of experience.
Work history must include product development experience in a product marketing or product management role within ID/AST / Microbiology (Clinical Diagnostics and Clinical Microbiology) sector of medical device industry.
Business case development driven by market and financial analysis.
Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) up to 25%
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Supporting or leading the DBS Launch Excellence or IDP process
Leading cross-functional teams leveraging Danaher Business Systems (DBS)
