Position Summary
The AVP of Project Management is responsible for executing on the strategic direction by managing technology focused projects that drive operational excellence. This position works closely with key business partners and leadership to build strong working relationships and ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget. The AVP of Project Management is responsible for setting the framework required to meet project objectives.

Project Management Skills – proven ability to manage technology projects and project teams consisting of multiple layers of service providers and internal and external stakeholders to complete projects on time and within budget
Results Oriented – track record of delivering quantifiable results to the organization (i.e. analyze opportunities/risks, develop and execute related action plans and deliver results), highly organized and disciplined
Leadership Development Skills - proven ability to recruit, build/develop and lead teams comprised of a diverse group of scarce, skilled resources in a directly managed environment
Operations Management Skills – proven ability to identify, collect and analyze operations performance data, market research data, and other related data to improve performance
Expertise at consensus and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills
Primary Responsibilities
Lead technology focused project management initiatives that support new business objectives including systems and technology integration; regulatory and legal requirements; testing plans; training; policies and procedures and reporting requirements
Manage a team of high performing technical project managers to support these initiatives by establishing and monitoring performance measurements, define training goals, competencies, and provide professional mentoring to associates to foster best practices to improve productivity and to promote innovation in the workplace
Develop an understanding of technology and business issues to develop the formula for success for each line of business. The formula should be designed to improve customer satisfaction while driving efficiencies
Guide the business management team throughout the project cycle
Monitor project budgets and schedules and address any variances
Regularly review the project management strategy for effectiveness by analyzing measurements of success and timeline management for each initiative
Collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to drive quality improvement in Operations
Regularly prepare executive updates for project updates to keep leadership and management team informed of progress and roadblocks
Manage internal and external vendors responsible for delivering technology and business process services, including participating in contract negotiations, establishing and monitoring service delivery/productivity/quality standards, setting priorities and analyzing costs as required
Qualifications
Required:
A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is required
7-10 years of experience managing large-scale technology focused projects
7-10 years of operational leadership experience in a mortgage servicing environment
A minimum 10 years of financial services experience
7-10 years of experience managing large-scale outside service providers
Desired:
PMP certification and/or training preferred
Mortgage experience
