Loving Hands Child Care Center Assistant Director - Child Care Center Colorado Springs , Colorado Apply Now The Assistant Director of the Child Care Center plays a pivotal role inassisting the Director with the overall management, operations, andadministration of the center. The Assistant Director collaborates closely withthe Director to ensure the highest standards of care, education, andsafety for children, staff, and families.
Responsibilities:-Collaborate with the Director in overseeing all aspects of the center'sdaily operations, including curriculum implementation, staffsupervision, and facility management.- Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate educational programsand curricula that align with the center's philosophy and state regulations.- Support staff recruitment, training, and professional development,including orientation for new hires.- Provide leadership and guidance to teachers and staff, promoting apositive work environment and fostering a strong sense of teamwork.- Collaborate with families to build and maintain positive relationships,addressing concerns, and ensuring open communication.- Assist with enrollment, registration, and maintaining accurate recordsfor children attending the center.- Monitor and maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, healthand safety standards, and other relevant guidelines.- Contribute to creating a safe and engaging environment for children,ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed.- Participate in parent communication and engagement initiatives, such asparent meetings, newsletters, and events.- Oversee administrative tasks, including record-keeping, budgeting, andreporting.- Assume leadership responsibilities in the Director's absence, makinginformed decisions and resolving issues as needed.- Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in early childhood educationand child care management.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, ora related field (Master's degree preferred).- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role in a child carecenter or early childhood education setting.-Level 3 in PDIS- Strong understanding of child development principles, curriculumplanning, and best practices in early childhood education.- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.- Knowledge of state licensing regulations and requirements for child carecenters.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and childcare management software.- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families,and community partners.
