**Health & Safety Manager**

at Instacart San Francisco, CA - Remote We are looking for a **Health & Safety Manager** to join our team. * Implement site and regional level safety programs and processes for all components of under the roof operations to compile with federal, state and local regulations.

* Develop and execute safety program and training content, compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety audits to support Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) management.

* Develop, maintain and support Safety and Site security escalation pathways and escalations.

* Have in depth knowledge of OSHA reporting and record keeping requirements.

* Support and expand site security and loss prevention programs with cross functional stakeholders.

* Have knowledge and influence compliance of EHS regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, etc.), including company EHS and WHS policies and procedures with Operations.

* Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders in ambiguous situations to create operational standards in line with safety and regulatory best practices and identify opportunities that may risk operational compliance.

* Leverage stakeholders and safety expertise to drive sustainable and scalable cross-functional solutions for opportunities related to program development, business metrics, training, and operational compliance.

* Utilize technology to develop and monitor business metrics to track compliance and process effectiveness.

* Analyze metrics, develop and review weekly and monthly incident trends to understand where and how to apply appropriate resources.

* Influence stakeholders to integrate environmental, safety and regulatory parameters into product and process improvement logic.

You're a WHS leader that will partner directly with our Emerging Operations leaders to implement sustainable, and scalable compliance solutions. You hold a deep expertise in human safety, environmental safety & regulatory engagement with past experience working directly with operational leaders and site level teams. Youre proactive, collaborative, and thrive under pressure and comfortable diving into ambiguous situations to find pragmatic solutions. * 5+ years of safety team leadership, working directly with operations teams

* Experience working with or for a regulatory authorities (Health departments, OSHA, etc)

* Project management and/or supply chain/operations experience

* Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a fast pace business environment

* Experience working on complex, cross-functional, ambiguous projects

* Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders

* Experience in writing SQL queries and mining databases is an advantage
