Role Description

Delivering real-time scores and plays in theScore app means we handle a lot of fast-paced data. Join our team and help build the internal tools and dashboards we need to bring the sporting experience to life for fans! We’re looking for a sharp, humble and deep-thinking Intermediate Product Designer who is eager to learn and make an impact with our internal platform.

Navigate dense architecture and system maps to improve how our admins operate

Collaborate with our data service experts, dig through details and simplify their complex needs

Evaluate and design the levers and knobs our internal platforms need to maintain the sporting experience

Enhance the current experience by evaluating user goals, collaborating with research to uncover unmet needs / pain points, and creating intuitive experiences within a data heavy interface

Typical Work Day

Ship aesthetically pleasing user interfaces that delight and add value to our users.

Work closely with other product designers, product managers, engineers, and various stakeholders, to solve user problems, from ideation to execution.

Leverage our double-diamond design playbook and various frameworks such as Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) to create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, hi-fi’s etc.

Follow and help evolve our design system and language across platforms.

A critical part of product design involves pitching your work and justifying your design decisions, so you’ll be expected to communicate and articulate your thoughts regularly.

Being open and receptive to feedback, exploring iterations, and providing critique for other product designers.

Participate in conducting user research, usability testing etc. and leveraging intelligence tools such as Amplitude for quantitative feedback.

Always thinking about how to improve team and organizational processes.

Most days, you’ll be using Figma, so ensure you have a good understanding of how the tool works, from design to prototyping.

What We’re Looking For From You

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent knowledge and/or experience.

A strong portfolio showing your process of working through full end-to-end experiences, design thinking, and using research to drive decisions.

Experience designing web and responsive UX / UI.

SaaS, enterprise services, or admin tools and dashboard experience a plus

A working understanding of iOS and Android patterns and conventions.

You have excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills, and you’re always considering the business side of design to further the strategy of the company.

You’re comfortable working autonomously and proactively, while also knowing when to bring others in to move things forward quickly.

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.

Nice to have: Front-end development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
