Home / Investment Accounting & Tax Tester Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Proven experience in the financial services industry
Minimum of 6 years of derivative accounting experience
Experience with Calypso, Murex or another subledger system
Prior exposure to investment accounting, subsidiary ledger processing and related investment matters
Experience with internal controls
Knowledge of STAT and GAAP accounting
Ability to partner with other disciplines as part of the user acceptance testing
Experience using investment data and information to analyze and communicate testing results and implications on investment accounting and reporting
Understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle
Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, solution seeker
Must be extremely resourceful and enthusiastic
Display a capacity to learn quickly and respond well to changes and opportunities
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Possess strong ability in dealing with ambiguity
Authorize to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
The person who secures this role will:
Execute consistent testing methodology and approach for investment accounting and reporting (includes completion of test plan, testing templates, creating/updating processes, and procedures, providing input to demand management, and developing appropriate testing metrics)
Manage day-to-day testing activities for investments accounting and reporting output (includes participating in team meetings, support overall timelines, understanding project/testing dependencies, etc.
Provide additional automation experience, and support for testing tool
Maintain high levels of quality of the testing support required
Participate and present in stakeholder and management calls to provide status updates
Partner with the Investment Lead to identify the scope of the testing required for investment accounting and reporting
Identify the testing effort required for a given test cycle
During the Testing Cycle, monitor the test progress and report to project management
