Job Purpose

The Systems Administrator administers and supports daily operational requirements of the computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers. To provide IT support services that include SOP development support, inventory support , subject matter expertise support , device support, and account accessing. To increase the infrastructure support capabilities for personnel and provide shore-based support services. The Systems Administrator provides: Information Technology Purchase Request (ITPR) Support, Risk Management Framework Support, Command Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems support, command phone program support, command cable TV and commercial Internet support. The Systems Administrator will create, document, and support a Risk Management Framework that is DoD Compliant and maintain cybersecurity architecture of centrally managed programs and perform site surveys for Authority to Operate.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide program management to ensure all work conducted is planned and executed.

Ensure technical, logistical, cost, and scheduled objectives to execute tasks.

To coordinate and integrate all functional areas within tasks.

Provide progress, status and Management Reports and conduct program management reviews (PMR) as directed.

Report on schedule status, risk management, quality assurance, and action item status.

Reports on progress of major milestones ,cost/funding status, manpower, Cyber Security Workforce Report.

To address the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System actions

To address Program Management Reviews.

Overseeing the development and maintenance of a system’s cybersecurity solutions.

Perform security control implementation and testing efforts.

Initiating the Risk Assessment Report (RAR).

Perform security testing required as part of Authorization and Accreditation (A&A).

Annual reviews, to include scanning, patching, and HBSS implementation and policy development.

Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.

Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.

Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.

Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.

Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience:

Must have at least 3+ years of experience in a similar role plus a Bachelor’s degree.

A minimum of Sever+

Knowledge of system security.

Strong troubleshooting skills (Operating systems).

Proficient using MS Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).

Excellent problem solving, decision-making and troubleshooting skills.

Shall be able to lift materials up to 50 lbs., and perform squatting, kneeling, and extended standing.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound skills in written and oral communication.

Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
