Design Project Manager - Federal/DoD

Job Description Job Description Stellar is currently seeking a Design Project Manager (DPM) to assign a multidisciplinary group of engineers and designers to manage through all phases of the design effort, from conceptual engineering through the completion of construction documents and construction administration. The DPM’s primary role is to coordinate the engineering effort and to serve as the primary design interface with the Client and the construction team. The DPM is responsible to communicate the design needs established by the Client to the design team, coordinate the work of all disciplines and ensure the flow of information among the Client and Stellar, thus enabling the team to maintain the overall design budget and schedule.
Review Client contracts
Review Client design program requirements
Client invoicing and change management
Design budgets and design schedules
Financial reporting and invoicing
Manage outside design consultants as required
Permitting due diligence
Weekly Client and internal design meetings
Ensure quality of overall design
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or similar field
PE or AIA license is not required but highly preferred
5-10 years of project management experience
3-5 years of experience in Federal/DoD projects
Knowledge of software including Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, BIM 360 Glue, and Procore
Good communication skills, particularly in presenting ideas and following up on timelines
