Position Summary:

The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is a part of the Susan & Henry College of Health Sciences and UCI Health. The Samueli Institute works to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidence-based treatment modalities, educating the public on well-being practices, providing individualized, patient-centered clinical care and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.

At the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Administrative Director for Education at the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute will oversee educational programs that promote innovation, academic rigor, collaboration, cultural humility and the development of leaders in the field of integrative health and whole-person care. Programs include the Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate Program, Integrative and Functional Medicine Fellowship Program, HEAL-IM, Integrative-Medicine Residency Track, Culinary medicine, Naturopathic Post-Graduate Training Program, Continuing Medical Education, and community education. The incumbent will oversee program administration, program development, and student activities. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Recommends changes to department policies and practices. Identifies risks and responds accordingly. Provides priority setting and workflow analysis. Manages accreditation and program ranking surveys.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $100,600.00 - $160,000.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $100,600.00 - $190,800.00 (Annual Salary).

5-7 Years previous experience in research supervision, or combination of equivalent education and experience.

Advanced degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Demonstrated experience supervising staff and students in an academic or research setting.

Academic background and experience in relevant area of research. Ability to build relationships, collaborate and problem solve both internally and with external organizations.

Demonstrated knowledge of program development as well as grant proposal development and administration.

Demonstrated leadership skills including effective communication, negotiation, coaching, and conflict resolution.

Advanced oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Knowledge of human resources management practices and policies.

Knowledge of financial principles and budget practices.

Demonstrated knowledge university, state, and federal policies that influence higher education.

Preferred: Terminal degree in a related field preferred (PhD, JD, MD, etc.).
