ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The Electrical Construction Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of a variety of electrical construction projects. This includes managing resources, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the detailed planning and scheduling of the electrical work to which they are assigned.
Responsible for electrical scope, budgets, and bid documents related to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) related projects.
Monitor and control expenses to ensure projects stay within budget constraints.
Develops a plan for completion of all work orders, including listing of the parts or materials needed.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and correspondence.
Ability to maintain oversight of several projects in different stages of construction.
Monitors and manages the performance, schedules, effectiveness, and efficiencies of all work performed by internal and outside contractors.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional operations and corporate support teams on issues critical to project success.
Perform on-site inspections for conformance to contract documents. Verify that all inspections are complete and passed by the controlling entity.
Proactively identify, address, and resolve issues/problems as or before they occur. React positively to change.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical construction or electrical design with 5+ years’ experience as an electrical team leader or electrical department leader.
Verbal and written fluency in English and Korean required.
Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the applicable industrial electrical standards (UL, ISA, IEEE, NEMA, etc.)
Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Familiarity with relevant construction laws and regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in project management software and tools.
