Sensor Systems Engineer
Sensor System Integration Engineering opportunities are available on the Bell 360 Invictus Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft. These positions are located at Bell Helicopter’s headquarters facility in Ft. Worth, TX.
The Sensor Systems Engineer for Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) Mission Systems Component Integration is responsible for:
Sensor system synthesis and conceptualization in a design-to-cost environment.
Sensor performance prediction in benign, uncluttered, and EA environment.
Subsystem requirements definition, flow down, and traceability.
Sensor system trade studies such as waveform, frequency, antenna configuration, phase noise, etc.
Interface with Sensor Suppliers through design, testing, manufacturing, and integration of sensors and related technology.
Work with customer representatives to define current and performance/capability requirements.
Interact with internal and external personnel on technical matters requiring coordination between organizations.
Work in cross-functional teams to develop hardware and software solutions on sensor related integration projects.
Guide the successful resolution of engineering problems, serve as a consulting resource of engineering knowledge, apply the latest technological advancements to the problem.
Document findings, communicate results to engineering staff, make technical presentations, and may represent the organization as the prime technical contact on small identifiable projects.
Plan and perform test and verification activities including system performance, environmental qualification, safety, and production functional tests.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor of Science Degree is required. Major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering will be considered with 5 years related experience.
Master’s Degree in the Engineering disciplines mentioned above is preferred. Position Requirements :
Requires minimum 5+ years of experience in subject matter technical areas, relating to Radar, Electronic Warfare (EW), Communication Navigation and Identification (CNI) and Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR).
Requires subject matter technical expertise, technical leadership, experience integrating tactical sensors on military aircraft, and multiple engineering projects.
Required to obtain and hold a Secret level security clearance.
