Description POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Account Coordinator is responsible for providing customer service by responding to our customer’s needs and expectations. This includes the primary functions of accepting freight, building and scheduling loads (in our TMS), and communicating any service issues to the appropriate team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Help foster and build relationships with customers by gaining an understanding of their expectations and specific preferences.
Generate rates through our quoting tool and submit rates to customers. Accept tendered freight and build / schedule loads accordingly.
Enter shipment data into our TMS system accurately and completely.
Proactively identify potential service failures and work with Operations to remedy issues.
Communicate with customers regarding status updates as required by customers and provide solutions to problems that arise.
Plan ahead by working with the Operations group continuously throughout the day, so they are able to book as much freight as possible in advance.
Understand and actively work with customer-issued scorecards to improve customer service and meet customer expectations.
Update customer websites with shipment information.
Regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements:
Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
Ability to work and communicate effectively with others, promoting a team environment and supporting your coworkers.
Excellent active listening skills to gain a clear understanding of Customer needs in order to drive solutions.
Possess the ability to accept constructive criticism from both external and internal sources. Learn from mistakes and improve your professional skills.
Possess basic computer skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel is desirable.
