Title: Controls Engineer I
Duties:
* The Controls Engineer I at Bastian Solutions LLC in Carmel, IN will create complete CAD packages both for installation and as-built documentation in collaboration with Controls Drafters.* Create Human-Machine Interface (HMI) in collaboration with Controls HMI Engineers.* Assist in the review of production schedules, electrical engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services.* Enact quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs.* Design control systems for review to coordinate activities and production planning to ensure quality standards. Implement new controls techniques and equipment.* Deliver successful controls projects with maximum efficiency to meet customer's satisfaction, schedule, time, and budget.* Collaborate with Controls Project Manager and assist with overall project execution. Attend training in applicable controls technologies or programs.* Participate in conferences and meetings with clients about product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and other workers about projects.* Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers and competition. Recruit and critique key suppliers of technology/software. Annual Salary: $100,235 - $100,235.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 3 years of customer-facing electrical engineering experience in (1) PLC programming; (2) Electrical design using AutoCAD including control panel design, low voltage design and PLC IO design; (3) material handling experience including startup and integration; (4) troubleshooting conveyor systems and electrical equipment; and (5) commissioning for conveyor systems, and (6) Hytrol and Interrol MDR controllers, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial networks.
