About the Role
The Vice President, Account Management at the company is a pivotal role focused on ensuring the satisfaction, retention, and growth of the client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing long-term relationships with key client stakeholders and executive leaders. This includes understanding the client's competitive landscape and challenges, consulting with them to align with their business priorities, and developing and executing cross-functional client strategic plans. The role also involves managing client contracts, driving renewals, and proactively addressing operational issues to exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in healthcare account management or selling into payer organizations, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, and a proven track record of success in a matrix environment.The Vice President, Account Management position requires a candidate with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and dynamic environment. A deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, payers, and regulations is essential, with a preference for candidates who have experience in a start-up or early-stage company, and knowledge of the reference laboratory business, esoteric tests, and processes. A Master's degree in business, marketing, or healthcare administration is a plus. The role demands a strategic thinker who can drive service expansion opportunities and is willing to travel up to 30% of the week to client sites and providers. The focus is on ensuring the right tests are delivered at the right time and in the right setting, ultimately contributing to improved clinical outcomes and healthcare affordability.
