Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Administration for Bentley v8i & Magellan (internal platform).
Migration from Bentley v8i to Magellan. Design, create, and maintain existing software platforms and systems.
Document existing and new systems/software flows.
Administer systems (operating systems/software) where applicable.
Profile existing applications to troubleshoot bottlenecks in workflow or software using various methodologies and tools.
Data profiling existing systems/databases in order to ensure optimal performance.
Administer development databases where applicable.
Be in monthly on-call rotation for system support when needed.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Understanding of software design patterns and principles. Understanding of systems architecture and their underlying network components
Ability to administer existing and new systems (Windows/Linux).
Solid knowledge in Kubernetes, Oracle 12, certification process, Jenkins, Mongo DB, RHEL
Understanding of Geographic Information Systems (Coordinate System reprojection, transform algorithms, etc.)
Understanding of source control management systems (BitBucket).
Ability and the want to learn new systems, development languages and their frameworks.
Ability to document and understand existing systems and workflows.
