Marketing Manager - Los Angeles

The Marketing Manager will lead the implementation and execution of strategic marketing plans for AKA Beverly Hills and AKA West Hollywood two spectacular luxury hotel residence properties in Los Angeles. The Marketing Manager will develop ideas and recommendations that create property awareness and excitement, as well as execute tactical, revenue generating initiatives. The Marketing Manager has experience managing relationships with outside marketing partners, overseeing marketing campaigns from concept to completion and is comfortable representing the marketing team’s priorities and initiatives with both internal and external team members.

The marketing plan includes digital marketing, email marketing, advertising, promotions, brand partnerships, activations, and social media initiatives which support AKA’s business objectives. This position requires a strategic, results-driven, creative marketer, who is passionate about hospitality and real estate and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation for design and the luxury lifestyle market.

Team Member Responsibilities:

Contribute to strategy and manage execution of marketing plans and projects from concept to completion.

Manage social media agency; evaluate and provide input on influencer collaborations; ensure all content is on-brand; maintain regular evaluation of KPIs and account engagement and growth.

Ensure that all marketing materials, property signage, and property generated communications meet brand standards; provide guidance and approvals to team members as needed.

Write marketing project creative briefs for design team and outside partners; oversee creative and copy development of marketing projects.

Play a key role in strategic team conversations and co-develop campaigns to increase brand and property exposure through digital, experiential, and social media channels.

Establish successful partner/vendor relationships and manage timely and accurate communication and coordination of all initiatives.

Provide marketing support for the apartment residences, including maintaining standalone website, updating content and collateral, and working closely with Digital Brand Director on SEO/SEM strategy.

Support SEM planning, strategy and optimization, and work closely with Digital Brand Director to implement campaign modifications to maximize exposure and revenue opportunities.

Create and execute email marketing promotional calendar for B2C and B2B property campaigns.

Manage marketing program implementation at the property level, including team member training and guest communication guidelines.

Represent Marketing Team when interfacing with Revenue and Sales Team to develop revenue-generating website promotions and compelling promotional content.

Draft, edit, and audit marketing copy as needed for website, email marketing campaigns, collateral, and other projects.

Manage PR inquiries

Manage creative/content asset library

Required Qualifications

3-5 years of marketing experience in a luxury hotel/residential environment

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or closely related field

Proven familiarity landscape of the Los Angeles market, including an understanding of local trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics

Thorough understanding of digital marketing, search engine marketing, social media, and e-commerce principles and metrics.

Demonstrated experience in Budget management

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

Proven ability to effectively juggle and prioritize multiple marketing initiatives concurrently, while seamlessly coordinating with external agencies and partners to ensure alignment with brand objectives and delivery of high-quality, cohesive campaigns.

Desired Skills:

Website CMS experience a plus

Experience with Google Analytics a plus

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and is comfortable presenting to groups.

Consistently exhibits excellent follow up and attention to detail

Highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively with colleagues to achieve successful results.

Proactive! - Ability to troubleshoot issues, and work with team resources to remove obstacles.

Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
