Duties and Responsibilities of a Warehouse Manager:
Oversee the efficient organization and management of the warehouse.
Maintain accurate inventory records, including regular counts and reconciliation.
Implement efficient inventory control procedures and reorder points.
Coordinate with Project Managers to fulfill material requests promptly.
Ensure materials are organized and accessible for project needs.
Work with company delivery drivers to ensure safe and secure loads.
Minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Communicate material delays, problems, or shortages to Project Managers and the General Superintendent.
Collaborate with Project Managers to identify material needs.
Place orders for materials, track deliveries, and verify order accuracy.
Maintain relationships with suppliers for cost-effectiveness and reliability.
Coordinate project buyouts and order materials for all projects.
Assist Project Managers and General Superintendent with preparation and coordination of materials, equipment, small tools, and safety equipment.
Coordinate with the Project Manager and General Superintendent on specialty items.
Present issues with materials, equipment, or small tools during Foremen Meetings.
Continually update material pricing used by Estimators and Project Managers in determining estimates and actual costs.
Manage Baker Triangle’s vehicle maintenance program.
Dispatch Baker Triangle trucks for material delivery and clean up.
Assist Preconstruction and Construction staff in constructability reviews, preliminary schedules, and establishing project general conditions and project estimates.
Develop clearer lines of communication between Baker Triangle and vendors.
Develop clear lines of communication between the office and the field by working closely with the General Superintendent.
Provide quarterly purchasing and inventory reports to Division/Branch President.
Provide an annual purchasing and inventory report to CFO and Division/Branch President.
Attend all required meetings with General Contractors, Architects, and Owners.
Assist Business Development with marketing functions/events as needed.
Attend industry activities, as needed, and represent the company in a professional manner.
Perform any other duties as required to support efficient warehouse operations and procurement processes.
Required Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and procurement tools.
Knowledge of safety protocols in warehousing and material handling.
Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
