Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant for their Main Office location in Easthampton, MA. This HR Assistant will assist in recruiting process: create/place effective job postings on web-based sites; schedule & attend career fairs; establish college recruiting relationships; screen and mine resumes; perform employment verifications and reference checks. The HR Assistant will also ensure all applicants are appropriately screened and cleared for hire by performing: MA CORI/DCF/SORI check; motor vehicle check; education/degree verification; employment and reference checks; any program license requirements; personal auto insurance coverage.
The HR Assistant is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of all employee information according to agency policies; state and federal law; all various licensing regulations, coordinating agency new hire orientation & CPR/1st Aid Training, including respective tracking for each session and inventory/production of training packets; coordinating/tracking Risking Connections Training, and assisting in maintaining personnel files and any other personnel records.
The Human Resources Assistant participates in onboarding new employees by coordinating new hire paperwork collection prior to start date and training new employees during agency orientation, receives and files first report of injury with Workers’ Comp carrier and process all medical bills and medical documentation, maintains OSHA 300 Log and file as required by law, and assists in the planning and execution of annual benefits open enrollment; including managing AAA benefit.
The HR Assistant will organize and execute annual onsite flu clinic for employees, accurately process HR/Fiscal documents and emails, including but not limited to: employee status change forms, emails to enable or disable computer logins, bills, PRFs, all new hire paperwork, etc. The HR Assistant will assist in preparing reports for internal and external constituencies as well as perform other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and 2 years HR-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have approved CORI, DCF, and driving background checks
