Position Description:

As a Software Engineer specializing in UI/UX , you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative user interfaces for our commercial e-commerce platform. The Software Engineer needs to take a creative approach to UI/UX design will ensure that our interfaces are not only functional but also engaging and tailored to provide an intuitive user experience. By collaborating closely with other engineers, you will help deliver a platform that combines aesthetic appeal with effective usability, drawing from the best practices of both web and game design to create interactive and enjoyable user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product Engineers and designers to understand user needs and translate these into creative, intuitive, and visually appealing interface designs.

Develop and maintain user interfaces using Flutter and Angular for our commercial e-commerce systems, ensuring they are responsive and user-friendly.

Leverage your understanding of front-end development tools and languages such as Dart, JavaScript, TypeScript , and Angular , incorporating advanced libraries like NGRX, RXJS, ng-bootstrap, Firebase, and AngularFire2 .

Incorporate elements of game design to create engaging and interactive user experiences that captivate and retain users.

Ensure that all UI/UX designs are optimized for performance and scalability, particularly for large-scale e-commerce operations.

Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to uphold high standards of quality and usability across all deployments.

Keep abreast of the latest trends in UI/UX design, including new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can enhance the user experience.

Participate in agile development cycles, effectively managing priorities and delivering tasks within set timelines.

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

12+ years of software development with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Proven work history as a UI/UX Software Engineer or Frontend Developer, with a portfolio demonstrating both web application development and creative design capabilities.

Strong technical proficiency in Flutter, Dart, JavaScript , and familiarity with AWS Repositories.

Front-end frameworks like Flutter, React, Angular, or Vue.js.

A deep understanding of responsive web design and UI/UX design principles, capable of working closely with designers to realize visually appealing and functional interfaces.

Proficiency in version control systems like Git and in integrating user interfaces with server-side logic via RESTful APIs.

A creative flair for incorporating elements of game design into web applications, enhancing interactivity and user engagement.

Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a team-oriented environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Game design, particularly in crafting engaging user interfaces and interactions in games or gamified applications.

Advanced skills in additional programming languages such as Java, Python, or JS.

Advanced library knowledge with NGRX, RXJS, ng-bootstrap, Firebase, and AngularFire2 .

Design and prototyping tools to enhance collaboration with UI/UX designers.

Required Education: 12+ years in software development and database engineering, with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.
