The DARC is currently seeking Software Integration and Test Developer. In this role you will support all aspects of the of the software engineering lifecycle, with particular focus on automated software testing, hardware/software integration, systems administration, and modelling and simulation software development. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test, in an agile software development environment. The ideal candidate would be someone with a strong integration engineering experience, and inclination towards solution architecture. Your primary responsibly will be developing and coding unit test cases. You will be working in tandem with the Software Integration Test Lead.
Responsibilities:
Deploys and tests the system manually to make sure that the automated tests are doing a good enough job.
Work with the teams to integrate new features.
Be the lead of the integration team (members taken from the scrum teams)
Understand and demonstrate system use cases using the deployed software
Know and maintain configuration of our operational system.
Monitor resource usage on real and virtual computers
Drive discussions to upgrade computing resources for the operational system, whether real or virtual
Identify opportunities for additional test automation and champion their implementation
Monitor and improve deployment procedures. These should be automated and bulletproof but getting to that point will take some time and effort
POC for test team to validate bug reports
Provide training and support for user community (testers and tech writers)
Basic Qualifications Principal Software Engineer:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Must have Active/Current or Interim Secret clearance or higher to be considered** (Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance)
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems
Experience providing test services and process compliance initiatives
Experience in software development deliverables and processes
Knowledge of embedded systems design and implementation
Familiar with Test Driven Development (TDD)
Continuous Integration Tools: Familiar with one of the following (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI, etc.)
Code Coverage Tools: Familiar with one of the following (SonarCube, Clover, Junit, etc.)
Experience in Agile Software methodologies – Scrum or Kanban
Knowledge of Radar Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM
Java experience
Experience with Radar communications
Integration experience
Experience with Agile development and continuous integration and test
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies
Previous in-depth domain knowledge of program software design and code
Proficiency with DevOps technologies including Jenkins, Fortify, Ansible, Atlassian suite
Experience in complete software development lifecycle
Experience with software development in real-time embedded systems for military applications
Experience in using integrated development environment tools (e.g., Rhapsody) and real-time operating systems (e.g., Integrity)
Demonstrated understanding of application and embedded software integration procedures
Demonstrated experience with software test automation at multiple requirement levels
Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following automated test frameworks: Cucumber, Google Test, TestComplete, AQT, Atlas, EggPlant, Unit Test Factory, RTC, ATF
Cloud and container experience (e.g., installing and troubleshooting Docker or Kubernetes deployed software)
Demonstrated advanced level understanding of application and embedded software integration procedures
Experience with VMWare infrastructure
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This position reports to Colorado Springs, CO, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Bellevue, NE, NE, USA.
Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $142,700 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
