Job Description:
As a Principal Software Engineer , you will be a cornerstone of our development efforts, driving major projects with your expertise and vision. This role is ideal for a seasoned software engineer looking to impact a growing company and the tech industry at large.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of complex software systems, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate new technologies and architectures into existing systems.
Mentor other software engineers, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks.
Write robust, maintainable code.
Assist in strategic planning and roadmap development for software solutions.
Engage in hands-on development of critical system components.
Required Qualifications
12+ years of software development.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Strong work history with Java, Python , or other major programming languages.
Proficiency with Java build systems like Maven and Gradle .
Leadership experience or roles in technology architecture.
Strong background in applied security concepts and cloud-based infrastructures, particularly AWS.
Big data technologies and data storage solutions.
Proven ability in front-end and back-end development.
Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees in computer science or related fields.
DoD Security+ or CISSP certification.
Test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
Proven knowledge with Java build systems like Maven and Gradle .
Required Education: 12+ years in software development and database engineering, with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Clearance Requirement : This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.
Relocation : This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
