The IT Head Latin America, to be a strategic partner of Yara Latin America (LA) business areas to accelerate the digitization and efficiency of processes, leveraging the business in a scalable and sustainable way. Enabling digital and cultural transformation, through the implementation of technological innovations and new management methods, also aligned with the global and regional IT strategy.
Responsibilities - Overall Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Define and maintain Yara LA technological innovation roadmap, understanding the strategic planning of business areas and identifying technological accelerators to enable it, in constant alignment and influence of the global and regional IT technological roadmap.
* Support and steer Yara LA roll-out of the global S4/Hana implementation. Ensure a successful transition of the Business Unit to a new core ERP and operational backbone, including harmonized processes accross the business unit and Americas region.
* Perform the integrated management of strategic projects, through progress reports, quality, and financial indicators, determining priorities, correcting deviations, renegotiating variables (scope, schedule, and effort), monitoring critical points and reducing barriers, generating value to the business.
* Manage the issues related to IT Governance for the Latin America, involving analysis and monitoring of indicators (budget, portfolio, service levels), elaborating action plans and supporting the Management Team decision making, aiming at alignment and synergy with global/regional practices.
* Be the focal point and act with the global/regional IT team for digital transformation, involving relationship, monitoring metrics, communication and alignment, knowledge management. Aiming to maintain the guidelines and global governance of IT and the evolution of themes related to systems development, automation, and digitization of business areas in Latin America.
* Manage and stimulate the good environment of the team through discussions, meetings, and conflict resolution, aiming at maintaining a work environment based on communication, respect, cooperation and constant search for innovation and knowledge.
* Make the recommendations of salary movements (merit and promotions, admissions, and layoffs) in your area, through the individual analysis of professionals in terms of responsibilities, competencies, and potential, aiming to ensure the alignment of remuneration to the performance of the team. Support the team in the IT Career Model.
* Act collaboratively and proactively with other IT areas, ensuring alignment in the Enterprise Architecture, projects, and proper passage to operations. Act as the main point of contact with the business areas in times of crises, as well as, with the operations area and IT suppliers. Together with the Business Agility area, use the agile methods processes where applicable.
* Manage the execution of the activities of the area according to the objectives and goals established by the leadership, distributing, guiding, and monitoring the fulfillment of the tasks of subordinates, ensuring their alignment with the processes, quality standards and deadlines established
* Lead geographically spread team having understanding of local operations and beign capable to interact with other regional IT teams
* Develop, evaluate and guide the team located in the different countries looking to ensure business operations, customer satisfaction and adequate IT support to business initiatives.
- Latam Governance Responsibilities:
* Participate in LA Management Team, reporting dotted-line to SVP Latin America
* HESQ Management: Know and comply with the Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines and HESQ standards established by the company, based on the Safe by Choice philosophy.
Profile * Professional in Computational Sciences, Engineer or Business Administration or proven relevant experience.
* Postgraduate in IT Management, Project Management, Computing Science Sciences, Digital Platforms or Business Administration.
* Required and not negotiable E nglish and Spanish Proficiency, Portuguese is a nice to have.
* Relevant experience as leader up to 7 years as IT Manager, Supervisor, Lead with teams larger than 10 persons with a multi country/ cultural experience.
