Education Executive Job Description Associate Director of Field Placement for Counseling and PsychologyThe OpportunityLesley University seeks an Associate Director of Field Training for Counseling and Psychology. Reporting to the Assistant Provost for Field Training Operations, the Associate Director of Field Training for Counseling and Psychology will be responsible for the overall coordination and administration of field training for the Counseling and Psychology programs of the Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences. This includes providing guidance, advocacy, and support to students in their internship search and throughout their training experience, developing new training opportunities, serving as the primary liaison for training site concerns, and reviewing program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current state licensure requirements.Qualities and Capabilities The successful candidate will have:A Master's degree in Counseling or related field; current Massachusetts licensure as an LMHC, LICSW or psychologistStrong clinical background and clinical supervisory experienceExperience with Tevera or other field training software strongly preferred.Knowledge of Massachusetts LMHC Licensure regulations stronglyKnowledge of Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regulations for School Guidance and School Adjustment Counselors strongly preferredStrong interpersonal, presentation and written/oral communication skills; experience with conflict resolution requiredExperience in higher education and practicum supervision desirableDemonstrated commitment to student success requiredWhy LesleyLocated in the heart of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Lesley University is highly regarded for its graduate and undergraduate programs in the human arts of education, the arts, and applied social sciences.
